Apple planning quad-core laptops?

MacRumors has some rumors! Are quad-core Apple notebooks coming up by the end of the year, using the Intel Nehalem processor set? And what about the software? It's one thing to have four or more processors, but if you are running single-processor software, you are not getting nearly as much bang for your processor buck.
