This will turn Microsoft into a Paranoid Android

News out of ASUS engineers say that the company is working on an Android powered netbook, scheduled for a year-end release. Android is Google's compact yet sprawling platform that may be the next big thing in the OS wars across multiple systems.

Thus, powered by Google, Linux could finally (potentially) pick up some heavyweight momentum and strike back at the evil empire of blue-screens and bloatware that has significantly lowered the expectations for personal computing.

We are anxiously waiting to see this development play out, and to see whether other manufacturers, frustrated by the restricted box Wintel is forcing them to stay in, say "ENOUGH" to the Redmond coffee-junkies, and really explore alternatives.
