No Linux for euro-HP netbooks

In a small setback for the Linux case, HP has decided to de-linux their netbooks in Europe (EMEA). OSNews and many other websites have the details.

We think this is a bad move by HP, but perhaps it is an assist for those working on a Microsoft monopoly case in the European Union :-) As more and more people get geekified and the prices of netbooks go down, more people would be willing to "try" or "experiment" with a Linux alternative, especially after seeing how lovely good ole Vista with Aero makes a turtle look like a blur ;-)
