New ASUS T91 is an 8.9" tablet convertible

If there is a laptop genre that ASUS hasn't tried their hand at, please let me know! Their new T91, revealed at CES 2009, is a convertible tablet computer, with an 8.9" touchscreen display, which happens to be LED-backlit. The resolution is 1024x600.

This is really tiny, one-inch thick and weighs barely two pounds. You may even forget you have it in your hand! Other specs of interest include a Z520 Atom processor (get used to the name, it will be everywhere soon), Windows XP Home, and options that include GPS and a TV tuner.

This type of a computer, with this size and screen-versatility, may also be a danger to portable book readers! Watch out Kindle and Sony Reader, because you can also read books, digital magazines and PDF files on this Atom-Ant powered convertible. Even Oprah may not be able to save you ;-)
