New Acer Travelmate 6593 and 6493 business laptops

We continue to catch up with the CES 2009 laptop announcements. Today we take a look at the two new business-laptops in the Acer Travelmate series, the 6593 (15.4" widescreen) and the 6493 (14.1" widescreen).

Acer Travelmate 6593
With an eye for business, Vista Business is what runs out of the box, supported by 4-gigabytes of DDR3 memory, and a 7200rpm 250gb hard disk. Vrooom for business purposes :-) The processor is a Core2 Duo T9500. Some of the other specs are:

+ price of $1500

Acer Travelmate 6493
The 6493 has a smaller screen and a slightly "smaller" processor. "Smaller" in terms of processing power of course, not size :-) And a smaller price too. Here are the specs that differ from the above new model:
+ Core2 Duo T8400
+ 14.1" widescreen (same resolution)
+ 3gb of DDR3 memory
+ starts at $1100
